B &G & Etc::::
As this year draws to a close I am tying up the loose ends to an overwhelming amount of projects and obligations and preparing to move into a new workspace which will no doubt lend tons of new energy to RebeccaPeloquin.com, re-pel.tumblr and all the other venues where you can find things I make and love, so please as always stay excited for updates and new work! Also starting at the beginning of January you will be able to find all sorts of new prints, originals, odd things and artsy alike in my brand new re-designed ETSY.
Until then happy holidays, and stay classy my friends!

In the spirit of Illustration Friday’s theme of “Vanity”, a totally self indulgent photo collage of my face, looking way more goth than acceptable. These things happen. Sorry Jebus.

Yesterday was a fine quiet night filled with gypsy music and strong coffee. I saw this as I drove home and drew this when I got there.

After much contemplation, the dispension of $10 American and a very deep breath I put my red nailed hands into the not so trustworthy hands of SOME LADY at a sketchy salon who after 20 painful minutes had proudly sanded off virtually all the skin on my poor fingers while responding to my winces with a cooed, heavily accented “It doesn’t hurt, I am nice to you.” Not finding the words to explain flesh pulls, surface piercings or inner arm tattoos to SOME LADY’s indifferent grin, I did my best to bite my lip and not retort, YES IT HURTS. Out the door with bleeding fingers I made a new oath to avoid acrylic nails, that entire salon and to cross the street if I ever see her again. Masochists if you want the address shoot me an email. On the plus side I can type again, pick things up and go back to making things! Yay!!! Here are some shots of a new piece I am working on, more conjoined twins, long hair and a red nail memorial.

Happy Halloween Boys and Ghouls! In the spirit of the best holiday ever I present you with some helpful horror hints:
1. Top pick bloody movie for the month of October: Red State by Kevin Smith
2. Worst international movie name: Chinese film entitled YOGA: The Movie
3. Best worst movie: Zombie Lake (Movie starts with a bus load of cheerleaders with a powerful need to immediately skinnydip)
4. Best spooky getting ready song: Devil Bunnies by My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult
5. Best (3) Tales From The Crypt: “Dead Right” (Demi Moore), Split Personality(Joe Pesci), and Death of Some Salesmen(Tim Curry, Ed Begley Jr)
6. Top oral blood gel : Ben Nye Mint flavor
7. Best boobs: Elivra (then, now, forever. )
Yeah I’m done, grab your spirit gum, glue on those open sores, drench yourself in fake blood, find a haggard wig and do it up proper! Happy Halloween!
Here is a ttttttteeeeaaaasssseeeerrrrr (spooky voice) from a new set. The lovely Lea Bleu…

At the very start of the month I gained a new housemate and a new friend. His name is Jonathan Saunders and he tells incredible stories. I was happy to be part of one. It involved me sitting very still, something I am not terribly excellent at. You can find out more at:

A new print! Finally something you can put up on your wall to commemorate the most obviously important week of the year, SHARK WEEK!
Yes boys and girls, like you, I too know the pains of eagerly waiting all year to re-watch the MythBuster’s shark week episodes, now for the mere price of a print ($25 AMERICAN!) you can buy yourself a friend to delight in the triumph with.
Little Fransisco also can not confine his excitement, thus donning his special shark week SHARK JUMPSUIT he prepares for a whole week of underwater cam shots, gnashing teeth, African backflipping great whites, and burritos, because sharks like burritos obviously.

Prints will go live on Etsy once I finish making them, let me know if you want me to hold one. ITS FUCKING SHARK WEEK is 6×9 and will be $25 for black on white arches archival paper or $30 for the wicked cool neon acrylic accented version. I will be making 10 of each.

Dear lovely ladies and lady boys:::
I have been having a blast over the last couple weeks relearning the fun filled (and therapeutic?) adventures of LINO-CUTS!!! Now you might say, why Rebecca I wasn’t aware cutting out pieces of linoleum with little metal tools for long periods of time could be fun, well you SIR would be WRONG! A half dozen episodes of whatever was on Adult Swim later and these svelte guys were born!

They are a conjoined African Antelope, named Percy & François Sinclaire and they will be printed in a very limited run on Arches (SUPER SEXY) Cream archival paper sized 9×12. If you would like to own a Percy & François Sinclaire please send me a short message and I will hold one for you until the Etsy listing goes up. Percy & François Sinclaire costs $40 or the equivalent of $40 in GOOD WHISKEY or French Macaroons (the Pink ones).
Two more prints will be added soon so STAY TUNED!!!
xoxo
